GBCS' #GivingTuesday Fundraiser

Fundraiser for Greater Brunswick Regional Charter School

Want to join us in supporting a good cause? This #GivingTuesday We are raising money for Greater Brunswick Regional Charter School and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. And on Giving Tuesday Nov 27, Facebook and PayPal will match a total of $7 Million in donations. Thank you for your support. I've included information about Greater Brunswick Regional Charter School below.

Greater Brunswick Charter School began as the dream of local parents, educators, and community members who believed that a public school dedicated to individualized instruction, parental involvement, and social awareness could flourish in our community. GBCS opened in September of 1998 and from the very beginning families came to value the dedicated teachers, innovative educational program, and positive school culture. Some of our innovative educational programs include Personal Education Plans for all students, Positive Discipline, Dual Language instruction, and Enrichment Clusters.

Looking ahead, GBCS is developing and improving. We have grown from 88 students in 1998 to 394 today. GBCS is a small, family-friendly school. Students at GBCS are learning to be active participants in their neighborhoods as they master the social and academic skills they will need to succeed in life.

On November 26 we celebrated our 20th Anniversary with a fundraising gala to raise money for our arts, sports, and play programs. Please help us and donate today!

NJ DOE Commissioner Dr. Lamont Repollet Tours GBCS - Oct. 17, 2018

As part of the NJ Charter Review Tour, NJDOE Commissioner of Education visited GBCS on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Commissioner Repollet and his team were undeniably impressed by what is happening in our classrooms and school. They’ve asked us to share our Personal Education Plan materials and consider presenting our model at a conference they will hold. They recognized the impressive benefits of dual language education and loved being in our classrooms. They also noted our well established school culture, rooted in social emotional learning and restorative justice.

What we do everyday impacts our community. Today was a day to showcase our program and enjoy positive feedback from professional educators.
